Collaboration with Anchorage Brewing Company

Lines is a collaboration 100% Lupulin Powder DIPA with Anchorage Brewing! Lupulin powder is the result of cryogenically frozen hops being shaved down to keep only the most concentrated resin powder from the flower. We used it as the flavoring agent in this beer instead of pellet hops.

wasnt planning on reviewing but hate seeing a couple of bad reviews drag down the overall rating of a beer that has vert strong ratings...
l: hazy
s: tropical hops
t: in line with nose, slight grassy, wheaty and malty flavors that a complementary to the predominantly hoppy flavor
m: nice, light body
o: very, very good DIPA, worth seeking out.

Pours a hazy deep straw yellow. Nose is equal parts grapefruit to equal part pine needles. Taste is of muddled citrus, slight floral and pine. Overall the taste of this one is a bit confusing. There is no real star of the beer beer, the citrus is muddled/muted, the pine is there but it's not a sharp blast of pine and the floral is a bit like old potpourri that needed to be thrown out a couple months ago. It feels like with this one that they tried to be BAM! In your face! With the lupilin powder but honestly the flavors just lack a crisp bright feeling. Medium body with a dry bitter/awkward bitter finish.

Canned 3/6/17; drank 4/7/17 @ the Yarchives.

Opaque orange/yellow appearance.

A rough pour yielded a huge white head; strong, frothy lace.

Pine, watermelon Jolly Rancher, mild dry grass & faint fresh ganja notes in the nose.

Soft medium mouthfeel.

Dry pine & watermelon jolly rancher flavors up front; grapefruit & cloying sugar notes on the finish. No booze heat.

A cloying mosaic (?) bomb; this is the worst Monkish IPA I've ever had. Either a) Anchorage is not my jam b) lupulin powder is bullshit or c) this hop (again, mosiac?!) is anathema to me. Permanent pass.
