Growler filled on the day of the Rinse in Riffs release, 04/04/18. Unopened until today.
Pours a familiar hazy orange color, with a good two finger head of bubbly foam that settles quickly , leaving heavy lace all over the glass.
The nose is subtle, but familiar notes of tropical fruit and juicy citrus ring true throughout. No hints of booze or unwanted bitterness in the aromas. Finishes with a hint of lemony tartness, and is much more bitter as it starts to warm.
Slightly bitter, hops present; a combo of grapefruit, pineapple, and citrus peel hit first. Finishes smooth and juicy. That flavor from the pats is present but not as indicative as in the feel.
Segue from the flavors, the feel here is clearly evident of an Oat IPA. It's creamy, and leaves that soft film around your mouth. Sticky, creamy, juicy, smooth. Always a great mouthfeel when those oats are added.
