Canned 09/17/18, ‘3030’.
A pale mango golden pour to this beer. Very small amount of head bubbles up, but quickly settles back into the body of the beer. Cold pour, no lacing left behind.
The nose on this is all tropical mango and stone fruit. Hints of pineapple and grapefruit combine for an awesome profile of aromas. Hints of those Galaxy Hops hit you on the tail.
Big, boozy, and beautiful. Those galaxy hops give a very familiar quality of sugar-coated grapefruit. Bitter and hoppy, but perfectly complimenting that bit citrusy flavor and giving a perfect contrast to the sweet, tropical nose. A subtle malt bill and complimentary mango flavors round this out so well, and with only a hint of booze. As it warms, the profile becomes increasingly more complex, with a grassier, spicier hop profile on the tail.
That awesome thick, juicy TIPA Monkish mouthfeel. Smooth, subtly warm booze, sticky finish.
