Canned 1/3/19, tagged "JEPPE," enjoyed on 3/4/19. A beautiful, creamy shade of yellow, with a pinky's width of head that doesn't stick around long. Smells like everything peachy (canned peaches, peach gummy rings, peaches and cream, you name it) and sweet citrus, with maybe a little guava and some tropical booze at the end. Body is nice, moderately carb'd, fluffy and smooth. Taste is juicy and dank; too sweet to call hot, but too spicy to call sweet. The 12% makes its presence known gracefully, not, by any means, obnoxiously, but rather in a respectable, restrained manner. This beer is big and bad, in the best of ways. TIPAs from Monkish are always a special occasion, but it seems Evil Twin helped to make this one exceptionally superb.

Pours a very hazy orange-juice and slight tangerine colour. Smells like very citrus-y, a little spicy, juicy, and a hoppy-sharpness. Tastes surprisingly light, considering the beer; orange rind citrus-y, a little pine-y, spicy, very crisp, a sharp pithiness towards the end and a little resin-y. Very balance for the size of the beer.

Draft. Cloudy, pulpy golden orange body, one finger frothy white head, good retention, no lacing. Smell is massive tropical fruit and citrus, very light zesty orange, alcohol burn, mild caramel sweetness, big floral and herbal hop aroma also. Flavour follows; though the hop burn is more pronounced and in some ways, a bit too much so- covering up some of the big hop aromatics from the palate. Good carbonation, medium bodied, fairly substantial burn on the backend.
