L: Golden yellow color with nice hazy complexion. About a finger of a white cap that dissipated rapidly. Minimal lacing.
S: grapefruit and tangerine dominate with hints of lemon and bubble gum. Slight grassy hop profile.
T: Follows the nose. Grapefruit and orange dominate with a bit of lemon and black pepper at the finish. Lemongrassy hop presence at the end with mild hop bitterness.
F: Medium in body and weight with higher end of moderate carbonation. Booze hidden fairly well but isn't totally concealed.
O: A tasty brew, and I am liking the experimental hops used. A different yet refreshing rendition of the normal Monkish DIPA method. While it's far from my favorite DIPA from Monkish, it is still above the majority of DIPAs out there, and even more importantly, far from bad or even average. I am very glad to have tried. Cheers!
