This may be the best Nelson hop beer I've had. Citrusy and earthy, with white grape notes that don't overwhelm the beer. Stellar.

this one is not retired anymore, homie picked it up at the brewery last week, canned on 3/21, awesome to not only drink something hoppy from these guys after hearing all the hype, but also to be able to have it so fresh, but thanks to my friend for sharing generously, stoked! this pours curiously thick and yellow, a very pale color and an almost unnatural density to it, not full of sediment or anything but milky, corn colored, and without much head after a few seconds in the glass, i like the obvious lack of richer crystal malt, but this is intimidating for an ipa, and i think i am happy to be sharing the can a few ways, a pint of this would be a lot it already seems. it smells awesome, not sure the hop profile but i could swear i get some pineapple forward mosaic in the mix, its oily and fresh and maybe done with cryo hops, they pop in here in an almost concentrated way, but i dont get any greenness or over hopped vegetal character, which a lot of beers that look like this possess. i get more than that though, i get white lifesaver candy, green grape, subtle peach, orange blossom, and chardonnay, very fresh and appealing, not overly unique as they go, but the pungency is amazing and everything i smell in the nose i taste in the flavor, it translates so well, not all dry hopped aromatics, its all saturated in the taste, and its oily on the tongue, lingering and even sort of rich despite being dry to finish, a little bit weedy to me, southern hemisphere hop fruitiness for sure, melons as it warms, and very little from the yeast despite the appearance. the body is massively thick, more than i want even in an imperial, so its heavy to drink even though the flavors are springy and maybe would pop even more on a lighter base. that said, its hard to argue the flavors here, this is like fresh hop smoothie, and its delicious. i need to track down some more hoppy beer from these guys, this was a fun one to share with some long lost friends!

Sweet, white-wine grape, lemony citrusy, and dank pungent nose on this one! Beautiful nelson hop aromatics!!! Taste follows with a soft and well-balanced, hoppy and zesty-citrus dank finish! Great! This has really nice depth and an outstanding mouthfeel to it! I mean...this is just world-class!
