Sweet white wine grape, hint of orange citrus, and hint of dank hoppy aromatics on this one! Taste follows with a soft and juicy, orange/grapefruit citrus bitter bite. Outstanding mouthfeel with the extra wheat added and decent depth. As it warms though, the juicy citrus bitterness starts to take on a bit of an acidic characteristic that messed with the finish a bit for my palate. This is still really good!

16oz can, snifter glass. Cloudy golden yellow body, one and half finger white head, good retention, plenty of lacing. Massive Nelson on the nose and palate, introducing a nice big herbal spiciness and tropical fruit, along with grapefruit and citrus. A bit green, with a big resinous bite on the backend that is almost slightly harsh. But the juice quotient in this one is high. Carbonation, as with other Monkish DIPAs, is on the higher end, a bit too sharp compared to the softer character of the well-known New England competition. Sometimes I prefer this, sometimes I prefer that, either way I win.
