As expected from a Monkish hop can, it pours crazy thick. Murky is an understatement. It’s orange juice. Although, this one had a more inconsistent, rocky head on it. Almost like soap bubbles. Could be residual sugars that helped this beast get to 10% ABV. Typical Monkish bubblegum aroma, but the citra hops provide a good tangerine, creamsicle balance. At my beer fridge temp of around 48°-50°, the 10% is well hidden, but tends to increase every minute this beer is in the glass. Not unpleasant, but by the end, you know this ain’t no session IPA. Flavorful, rich and vibrant, with a touch of heat. Balance is spot on. Monkish did Veil a proper dedication with this beer. Great stuff.
