The Black Is Beautiful initiative is a collaborative effort amongst the brewing community (currently 900 participating breweries worldwide) and its customers, in an attempt to bring awareness to the injustices that many people of color face daily. We will be donating 100% of the proceeds of this beer to the NAACP Legal Defense Fund.

This pours anthracite black with a dense, foamy dark tan head. Gorgeous beer. The nose is milk chocolate and some char, and stone fruit. Lots of stone fruit.
The milk chocolate is forward on the taste, and the char is present, but the stone fruit comes along mid-taste and lingers through the end. I love stone fruit flavors in big stouts, but if you don’t, this will be a bit of a challenge.
The mouthfeel is a little softer than I’d prefer to see in an imperial stout, but overall this is an excellent beer, especially if you like stone fruit in a big stout.
