Sweet tropical hoppy, lemony citrus, and hoppy-dank nose on this one! Taste follows with a hoppy bitter and lemon citrus swallow...as it warms, some earthy/grassy notes show up on the backend. This is nice and soft on the palate and has held up well after 2.5 months. Good!

Pours a light golden orange color. Completely opaque and matte. Thick three finger head forms then slowly dissolves on top of the beer. A quarter inch of foam is retained along with lovely lacing on the glass. Aroma has notes of orange citrus, light herbal, grassy notes, and light wheat-malt notes. Can definitely discern the wheated character of the DIPA on the nose.

Taste follows the nose with lots of herbal (think kitchen herbs, not the euphemism for marijuana), grassy, almost spicy notes. Really unique flavor profile there right up front. Some light citrus, orange and cracker malt come through on the second half of the profile. Mild bitterness in the finish with again, a slightly spicy note. Wheat provides just a hint of flavor to the profile, but really does more on the feel. Feel is medium to moderately bodied with a creamy smoothness. Moderate carbonation. Somewhat drier on the finish.

Overall its an interesting IPA - the herbal spiciness is pretty unique. Enjoyed it, but not sure Id want a full 4-pack of something like this.

Decent head production and retention; nice scattered lacing. Body is a light shade of yellow, a touch lighter than lemon, and pulpily opaque.

Extremely herbal nose, bright like Italian seasoning. Citrus notes of orange and lemon take priority of tropical notes of melon, pineapple, and papaya.

Similar presentation on the palate. At initial contact, it's drily herbal, but that is followed by a wave of juicy citrus and tropical notes, again with an emphasis on citrus. About halfway through, the mild sweetness has faded, leaving behind a grainy malt body supporting herbal hop notes. Finishes with mint and orange peel notes. Low overall bitterness; low astringency and hop burn.

The wheat adds plenty of heft and creaminess to the body, along with a bit of graininess. Lively about the gums.

Thanks to Dimidata for this one, from a recent ninja box. 16oz can (dated 11/4/20) Poured into 14oz teku. Poured a fully murky, bright orangeish-yellow color with an inch of white head that had good retention and lacing.

The aroma was loaded with the typical frooty hops of the style. There was a slight malt scent in the background.

Very similar on the tongue, with a bit of hop bite on the finish. There was also a slight metallic tinge near the end.

The body was medium-ish, which made it a little fuller than most of the style. Whether that's due to the wheat, I can't say.

Drinkability was fine, my can went down easily enough, but I wasn't left wanting another.

Overall, a slightly above average take on the style. Worth a shot if you're into these things.
