Hazy grapefruit juice. Big berry and citrus hop aroma and flavor; juicy and lightly dank. Good balance with decent bitterness. Medium bodied and fairly smooth.

9/25/24 Batch! Sweet tropical hoppy, slightly malty, and an earthy-citrus and Mosaic-dank nose on this one! Taste follows with a orange citrus hoppy and an earthy-citrus bitter finish. This is decent, but as it warms, those Galaxy vibes make themselves known on the backend. I was hoping with the "extra" Citra treatment that the Galaxy would be a little more subdued.

On tap, pours a very hazy deep orange. Smell and taste feature massive hits of citrus, tropical fruits, and spicy dank. Another wonderful IIPA from one of my favorite breweries.

D:11/18/20 - rock solid at 6 wks plus. Malt definitely shows, but this is big, bold and letting the extra Mosaic step way out front (a good thing). Another example of Monkish showing early fruit, then wrapping up w/ contrasting bitter pine. Can't say if it was better or worse after warming, because this never got the chance.

A - Pours a hazy golden orange with a thin white head. Good amount of soapy lacing.

S - Aroma is pineapple, grapefruit rind and piney hops.

T - The taste is orange, pineapple, lemon and grapefruit finishing with piney hops.

M - Medium body with medium carbonation. Creamy mouthfeel with a crisp dry finish.

O - Really solid NEPA. Nice balance of sweet and bitter.

L - pours a thick, muddy haze. Greenish yellowish brownish. I could almost see the hops pouring out of the can. Big fluffy head that quickly disintegrates while desperately trying to stay floofy. Leaves a ring of big-bubbled, overcompensating lacing behind. What are you trying to hide underneath all those bubbles?

S - zesty pineapple and sticky, resiny hop oils. Saturated and overripe. Sweet, sauteed onions and tropical fruitiness. Doughy.

T - underripe stone fruit up front quickly followed by an earthy blanket of herbaceousness. Crisp and cool, with just enough bite to mimic cold air. Like maybe autumn air, perhaps? Overloaded with hops to offset the ripe pineapple stickiness. Finishes with a puff of warming booziness to round off all those sharp, hoppy edges.

F - can feel the hop grits between my teeth. Definitely DDH. Slight airiness to offset the thicker, plusher, full feel.

O - lots of different acts to this beer. Constantly balancing between hoppy acidity and saturated fruit stickiness with at least a few twists and turns along the way. Amorphous, ever changing, this'll probably develop interestingly in the can over the next few weeks.
