Canned 12/03/20, 'HBD MATT'.
Opaque golden pour, with small amounts of soft white head that rise and quickly fall back into the body of the beer. Poured cold, sitting at the back of the fridge so probably around 38° or so.
An iconic trifecta of hops were used for this TIPA, and the best of each is showcased here on the nose. Getting sweet notes of lychee, peach ring candy, and passionfruit, with hints of bubblegum and a hint of floral hops on the tail. It develops a bit more as it warms, continuing to bolden in its sweetness with emerging notes of pineapple juice and cantaloupe as well as a more prominent booziness.
The flavor profile contrasts from the nose with a more aggressively hop-forward profile. Still getting stone fruit, but along with it is a more distinctly citrus backbone, specifically tangerine. Also on the finish there's a bit of a sweet malt that helps to bring out a bit more of that fruit on the palate. Grapefruit rind bitterness on the tail, with a touch of red berries and a resiny hop bite.
The mouthfeel on this is great; not overly heavy, with a good carb level. At 10.4% this TIPA doesn't mess around, and as the beer continues to warm and open up, you really feel that warmth as each sip goes down. That said, it's a dangerous drinker.

Sweet pineapple trop-hoppy, orange-tangerine citrus, and tropical dank nose on this one! Taste follows with an orange citrus and prominent hoppy bitter bite. I mean, this was canned on 12/3/20 and the hops are still all up in yo' face and slappin you upside the head! Ha! As it warms, a grapefruit citrus bitterness starts to dominate...and a hint of booziness starts to peek out. This is so soft and heavy on the palate! Great stuff!

This is about as lush and tropical as it gets. Imagine Poseidon impregnating Ester Williams - this is a tropical paradise. Boom... Like Bogey on the Pacific on The Santana with Lauren Bacall - wow! What’d that Enya chick say? “Sail away! Sail away! Sail away!”
I think I shall.
