Was in the area picking up the last Bruery stuff, figured I'd roll through here and score some hops. Oh hey, a dark and mild, shit why not?

Pours a cola like appearance. Beige dense tiny bubble head, 3/5". Looks good. The aroma has some chew roasted barley. That is about it, no yeast or hop notes. Its like oatmeal, light toffee, charcoal shavings, caramel, cola.

The taste is enjoyable. Everything is pretty subtle in this. But it never feels mute or watered down for complacency. Its a nice table strength beer that has some color to it literally but figuratively, brings some flavor for the hydration times. Should mention some black walnut like nuttiness to it. Came out end of February but had some fall like vibes going for it.

I found that the namesake for this beer is spot on. It is dark and mild. Story checks out (unlike the anti inflation reduction act).

Pours a dark, nutty brown with a finger of khaki foam. Aroma is toffee, fig, raisins, caramelized sugar, and burnt sugar. Some toasty malts lingering underneath the playful notes. It's, as the name and style suggests, very mild, but clean. Flavor profile is nutty, bready malts with toffee, fig, raisens, and light caramel and pumpernickel stacked on top. Mouth feel is light duty creamy, thinking something like 1% fat milk. Thickness is thin, with a watery finish. Overall, a light duty beer that tacks in some quality, playful malts.
