Writing the first review ever for this beer on BA. You gotta review and not just add so that people know you're not a total sociopath, player to player, such a good hook. This was from a trip over in late February 2022. On tap. Warm day.
Pours a hazy but relatively bright yellow color, moderate haze/viscosity going for it, 1/3" white head. The aroma was dank stuff. Nelson punches up as always. Citra in supporting role. Weed, oranges, papaya, garlic, onion. Sounds weird on paper, but Nelson almost always does the trick aroma wise.
Taste, oh dang, both taste and mouthfeel are world class. You get that beautiful Citra/Nelson combo doing dank orange cough strains, but a firm Simcoe bitterness that isn't heavy, just helps it float. Some sweet pineapple notes drop as well.
And man, that mouth feel, it floats, they made 10.5% drink really easy. That's crazy. I remember the buzz already starting after just like 10oz of this that went down with about as much effort as drinking water.
My favorite Monkish beer so far, would love to score some of this in cans.
