badass collaboration with other half, cool to be able to drink some monkish hoppy stuff, has been hard to come by for me, so this was especially fun. i liked this about as well as the much acclaimed foggy window. pretty starchy and milky looking, but frothy white headed and appealing still, even if a little dull, its not too thick or sedimented, this is how they do it. the nose is great, suggests cryo hops or something to me at this intensity and early climax, candied orange, muddled lemongrass, fresh tangerine, citra is obvious, but so are nelson and nectaron, a wicked combination and wonderful dosing, no green bite at all, all the aroma. the flavor has champagne, peach bellini, clementine, and fresh floral layers, maybe a tad more malt body and heft in this than it needs, but at at least its dry, and there is enough citra for it to still be the front hop even with the more exciting nuance behind it, still, i love the complexity and the juicy forward intensity of the hops, but the overall cleanness for a hazy that looks like this, and its super fresh too. on the edge of oversaturated, but it isnt, very robust but still in line. almost creamy feeling and a little long, pleasant the whole way, even at temperature. really nice beer, monkish seems worthy of the hype in my limited experience...

Sweet tropical fruity hoppy, orange-tangerine citrus, and hint of Nelson-dank nose on this one! Taste follows with a tropical hoppy and orange citrus bitter finish. Even though this is a single, it drinks on the lighter side for a Monkish IMO. And, I wish the Nelson addition popped more/was more dominant. This is still a tasty single, though! And, as it warmed, a little more depth on the palate appeared. Pretty good!
