On tap at the brewery. This was poured into their half glass. The appearance had a softer golden to semi-bronzed almost yellow color with a thin concave bar pour’s kind of light white head. No lacing appeared after the head died off. The smell started off with a floral to semi-sweet grassiness leading into a slight sweet to spicy rye, subtle yet there. The taste copied the smell pretty nicely with no aftertaste yet a sweet rye finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a decent sessionability about it. Carbonation felt right as it let the rye take the lead on the harshness and bitterness. Overall, as a rye ale, this one works. I’d have it again.
