This 5.2% English pale ale was brewed exclusively with U.K. malts and hops. The toasted bread malt character is balanced with the light floral and tea notes from the East Kent Goldings hops.

Tasted at the source. Tan-tinted amber color. Meh head that falls flat. Unbalanced malty nose of toffee cookies, butterscotch brittle sans complexity of nuttiness. Thankfully, lemony Earl Grey flavored hoppiness cuts thru all the candi sugars while tasting. Bright feel with ample carb, but body finishes slick, slimy and a tad cloying. Nice change of pace after hopping from place to place drinking mostly IPAs in VT. Almost a palate cleanser in that sense, but nothing I'd use my fridge space bringing home a growler.

On tap at the Brewpub, June 30th, 2017.
This was poured into a becher pint glass.
The appearance was a murky semi-dark crisp orange rust color with a cap of a little white foamy head that swiftly died off. No lace.
The aroma had some sweet clean biscuits, light grassy to earthy hops, a clean yet expected soapiness and a mild layer of honey underneath.
The flavor leaned into the maltiness of the biscuits and some dark bread trying to come out. Soapiness seemed even fainter in this department. Honey seemed non-existent. Malty bready sort of aftertaste.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a pretty good sessionability about it. Carbonation felt nice and light as expected. ABV felt as projected, nice and low.
Overall, as an English pale ale this one hit the spot, made me want some fish n' chips. Wishing Prohibition Pig would actually have fish n' chips, oh well, hopefully some day.

Growler purchased earlier in the day, poured into a tulip. Appearance is a clear, light golden-honey brown topped by a small off-white head that quickly disappears completely. Aroma is bread and yeast with maybe a little honey. Taste is bready with a hint of black tea and honey. Mouth is medium-thin, with low carbonation and fairly dry. Hard for me to rate this overall, as I believe this is the first UK style pale I've had. No flaws in the beer, nothing exceptional to my taste buds, but definitely worth a try.
