Alewife and I swung by the Pig for some pre-dinner libations on 27JUL20. I had two 13oz pours of this, at $7.00 per...
It was served from tap in a small sniftah. Was a very dark chestnut, nearly opaque, with some garnet highlights. A creamy, frothy, 1/4" beige head sat on top, with a slow ebb revealing nice lacing. Nose had malty caramel and toffee - being quite English! It had a medium-plus body, and was quite smooth.
Flavor? More malt! Toffee, caramel, brown bread, some raisins and dates.... nice! Had a slightly earthy, herbal finish. A very tasty brew!! Cheers!!
