Presentation: Growler, poured into a cone pint glass (no frills,Target I think?)
Appearance: Very dark brown with AWESOME lacing!
Smell: Mildly sweet in the nose with hints of charcoal, roasted malts and HUGE hops...
Taste: Silky smooth with a nice medium bodied mouth feel. Some malty flavors are followed by HUGE hop bliss... light acidic twang from the roasted malts, a little dark roasted coffee flavor and (more) hops and roasted malt bitterness. The lingering after taste is of faded burnt sugar, crazy present, but good bitter hops and a slightly warming alcohol...
O: I Like-"E"...There are good 'black-ales' and then there are great ones... this one goes down as a great one, no doubt!
