Oberon is a wheat ale fermented with Bell's signature house ale yeast, mixing a spicy hop character with mildly fruity aromas. The addition of wheat malt lends a smooth mouthfeel, making it a classic summer beer. Made with only 4 ingredients, and without the use of any spices or fruit, Oberon is the color and scent of sunny afternoon.

Smell orange maybe coriander some high note spice may be present... hops... Yeast is indistinct ... An earthy smell kind of like chalk I think that's the yeast... For sure it's a ale.. definitely citrus... Maybe from the hops.. American? Simcoe? Tbd
Taste: orange high pallet and a little tart... A little bitter and some pucker Hop dryness... And a floral hop note... I'm getting to know them better... Sometimes found in the more floral IPAs American style hops...
Mouth feel body it's below medium... Refreshing more of a summer beer and some lemon is coming through... I could smell orange but the sour citrus pulls more towards lemon... There could be lemon drop hop but that would not be forward... There's a citrus hop more orange maybe Since...
The finish is rather dry... And invites another quenching thirst... But I don't think that's going to happen with this beer... I bet nobody drinks one... Malt is there... The wheat is kind of distraction... Or maybe that's the yeast but there's something in there... That says get it done fast... So I can have another water...
There's plenty of summer beers with a citrus flora... This one's unique and it's malt.. and it's yeast.. And it's hops.
It has a distinct flavor that some may come to enjoy...
If you don't like IPA you might like this one... If a pale ale is still too strong... You might like this one... If you like your standard weed beer or American wheat beer that has a little something more going on... This was probably your ticket...
Appearance holy God that's like Jesus..look at that thing bubble... Fabulous head retention where is it all coming from... SRM 4... kind of cloudy lots of carbonation...

Pure sunshine in a wheat ale. Very crisp and refreshing.

As a wheat beer, it was a bit more bitter than I was expecting it to be, but after that initial surprise, I think my overall verdict is that this beer is... Okay. It's nothing spectacular, but it's serviceable. Not the worst beer I've ever had, but most definitely not the best
I think 1664 Blanc is better, but I also think that this might be better than Blue Moon (it sure as hell is way better than Hoegaarden though, that's for goddamn sure lol)
