12 ounce bottle, Batch 13524, packaged 10/02/14. Served in a Prairie Teku, the beer pours a slightly hazy golden/orange color with about an inch off-white head. Head retention and lacing are both decent enough. Aroma is fruity and sweet, it smells like apricots, vanilla, cardamom, honey and a sweet spiciness. I think the taste is pretty much just like the aroma, it's sweet, fruity and a bit spicy and somewhat tart, too. I do think it's more fruity and sweet than anything else. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's a bit slick and smooth with a moderate amount of carbonation. This sure doesn't drink like a beer that's 7.5% ABV. Overall I liked this, but if you don't like sweet/fruity beers then you might not like this as much as I did. $2.79 a single bottle.

Bottled 10/2/14; drank 3/6/15 @ the Yarchives.
Murky orange appearance.
Small white head; nice lace.
Orange, mango & lemon zest notes in the nose, with smooth vanilla providing ballast.
Medium mouthfeel.
Apricot flavor up front; mild vanilla & faint grapefruit bite on the finish. Sweet orange citrus settled on my lips over the course of the session.
Palatable, unique & delicious. Why don't people like this?!

Poured from bottle into glass; golden Amber hue with one finger head. The honey and car demon are busting loose. Honey on the front and cardamom "bites" slightly on the back and lingers. An interesting flavor that seems balanced and the aroma seriously does not match the palate. Not like any other I have tried- it's an experience!

Bell's Venus, The Bringer of Peace. Malt beverage brewed with apricot juice and honey with cardamom and vanilla beans added. Brewed and bottled by Bell's Brewery, Comstock, MI. Alc. 7.5% by Vol.
Slightly hazed, bright golden hue, slim white head.
Aroma: fruit, honey and spice. They're all there, beautifully blended.
Taste: Mmmm. Much sweetness up front, with a twist of tart. Fruity to a fault, with the spice adding some temperance. The fruit never falters, just fades some on the palate. With each new sip, the bomb bursts anew. Juicy fruit, with a blast of cardamom, then the fade-away.
This is one that I'll file under the "interesting" folder, the kind of beer I don't mind trying out, but would rarely return to, and am glad it exists. A fan? No, but neither a hater.

I wish this series was a little more epic like the labels imply. Seems like these will be rare monstrous beers but they turn out to be monstrosities. Tastes artificial and cloying.

From bottle dated 10/02/2014. Hardly any head but does have plenty of carbonation. Smells of Apricot, Very different. Taste is very complex with all the additives representing very well: Apricot, Honey, Cardamom, and Vanilla. All the flavors come together nicely. I do not understand why the low ratings on this beer. It's unlike any flavored beer you will ever try. That alone makes it special. Love to or hate it, this is not an easy beer to brew and to get right but Bells have pulled it off very well.

Best thing here is aroma - like apricot coffeecake with apricots, yeast malt, vanilla. Body was ok, tho there were some odd high points. Flavor isn't nearly as good as the carbonation gets in the way. Also an unpleasant bittersweet finish.
