A: Pours a beautiful burnt orange color. Slightly hazed at first but that clears up as this warms. A dense two finger egg white head forms with excellent retention and lace.
S: This has a huge aroma up front. Grapefruit and orange rind, definitely pine and resiny aromas. Before the NEIPA's came out, I could certainly think of this as "juicy" grapefruit though that doesn't really hold up so well now. A big malt presents as well toasted and caramel, but that takes a back seat to the hops for sure.
T: Follows the nose with plenty of grapefruit and orange rind. Pine resin, and a more substantial malt presents. The middle is full on chewy and sweet caramel malt and baked bread. Though finishes with a nice bitterness to balance everything out.
M/O: A big full body. Moderate carbonation that is not overly viscous at all, actually incredibly smooth. Oh, this is a good sipper. With that wonderful warming feeling without being alcoholic or solvent like.
Oh old school Imperial IPA, its been a while. I have never been the biggest IPA drinker, let alone purchaser for home consumption. I mean, I have had my fair share while out about at bars and friends houses but there are only a few a really get for the house and drink again and again. If this was a regular offering, I could see this one being in my rotation. Well done.

Hopheads rejoice! Exceptionally dank, resiny, hoppy 2x ipa that's incredibly smooth for an 11.5%er! Bitter but should please maltheads also. Very smooth fooler of an 11%er.

Pours up with a nice head on tap, body and mouthfeel are good, substantial lacing, nice golden tan color.
The piney hops blend is outstanding, compliments the malty caramel resin character well.

Ridiculous. I brew like lots of you, home brew or commercial brothers and sisters. I’m not going to go into a deep forensic analysis of this one… you are on hallowed ground. This one is a stunner. Spectacular. Just let it roll over you, and savor this one, Sure you can pick it apart, come up with a “flaw”… but why not just enjoy this triumph of brewing and revel in it. This is why we do this. Prost!

12oz bottle from Shrubber85. Clear amber pour, lasting tight off-white head. Malty, caramel, pine, dank. This what DIPAs are all about. A real classic

From the pint can, it pours a clear slightly dark amber color with a very nice off-white head that slowly reduces. The nose gets upfront citrus - my friend says orange - followed by caramel malt. The mouth follows with a malty flavor with minor alcohol noted (surprisingly since this is 11%) and it leaves a mild burnt malt aftertaste. Medium mouthfeel leaning towards heavy.

Ya, there is a ridiculously nice thick head on this...Malty flavor bomb...burnt sugar/toffee and dark fruit gives way to dank earth and strong hop finish. Slightly sweet mid-palate, then again it kinda punches you in the face (in a good way). This is a unique change from the over-proliferation of Hazy IPAs. Great beer
