On tap at the Eccentric cafe.
This was a bourbon barreled version of Mead. I listed it as a Wheatwine because it is described as a "Dry Honeywine"
I am not a wine person at all, so it was hard for me to finish a 5 oz pour, but it could not have lived up to the description any better. I enjoyed what I did drink. It was just so sweet.
It was a very light bodied, crystal clear pale yellow. Looked like a glass of Chardonnay. The bourbon flavor is fairly prominent, which I enjoyed the most. Otherwise it is sweet, like honey, with white grapes and apple notes. Very, very dry.
