On tap at the Eccentric Cafe. Black body. Smells of whiskey, chocolate, coffee. Tastes of strong whiskey. Oak. Roasted malt with a touch of chocolate sweetness. Vanilla and oak on the finish. Medium body. A very drinkable whiskey stout. Impressive.

Sample at Mikkeller Beer Celebration Copenhagen 2017, yellow session. Aroma has bright vegetal notes like celery. Taste is roasty and dry with a nice whiskey finish. Overall it's a quite generic stout.

32oz growler, poured the same day it was filled, poured into an Aslin "stemless wine" glass.

Looks like cola. Nose is pretty solid amount of oak, little bourbon, nice roasty malt, and a decent amount of hops. Reminds of me LCCB Despot, which is a high IBU RIS, I guess if this is at least slightly related to Expo, that makes sense.

Reminds me a bit of oatmeal stout, very smooth, small bit of tannin from the barrel. Taste crosses over with FW Merkin. Similar to that brew, this isn't a beer I'd run around town trying to find a bottle of, but it's good if you are thinking of it more as a lighter RIS or Oatmeal stout.

Nothing too fancy/crazy, but definitely worth a pour/growler if you come across it, especially considering the price point. This does not (nor is it meant to) go head to head with decadent imperials like BCBS/Parabola/Black Note, but I think this would be far superior to serve with a burger/steak/cheesesteak that kind of meal.

Tasted in snifter from draft at Kuma's Corner on January 12, 2017. Look is nearly black with a thin head and lingering lacing. Smell and taste is mostly coffee with some dark roasted malt. Feel is full in body with a warm bittersweet finish.
