Brewed under the discerning eye of Larry, this Eccentric Ale was brewed with juniper berries, ginger, caraway seeds, coriander, maple syrup, molasses and brown sugar and sweet potato puree. The secret ingredient? Our guest brewer for this batch, Jace Marti of August Schell Brewing Co., brought a unique local ingredient from his home state of Minnesota, wild rice.

Bought a couple of six packs during the 2016Christmas break when it was released at the Bell's store in Kalamazoo Michigan. Was told to sit on it. Compared to the ratings I see here, I'd say this strong ale has definitely matured well. Look forward to next year.

Muddy brown-red with a soft khaki head quickly dying to a thin film and ring.
Smell is raisin, brown sugar, maple, grape, root beer, ginger, and pine. I think I said "this is so fucking weird" 5 times while smelling it.
Taste is really dark gingerbread cookies--too much molasses, just way too much. Some cocoa and ginger annihilate the tongue as well. The extreme and rich potency of these flavors twists my palate to an unpleasant extreme.
Thick, frothy, super dry to ashy, with a little burn on way down. Ew.
