on tap at 44th and France into a snifter, this pushes the boundaries, style-wise, but the kiwi is pretty compelling and somehow, it still fits with other gose-like qualities, even if it twists them up a bit. Quite enjoyable, quite refreshing and tart and juicy and a little salty, with a smart and effective use of kiwi.

Had on tap. Murky golden body with a full white head and blobs of lacing. Smells strongly of citrus then kiwi next, with lacto, yeast and salt supporting in that order. Taste is the same but the kiwi is brought up to match the citrus, this is lovely. Feel is on the more sour side of the style spectrum, but clean and refreshing nonetheless

i find myself always wishing to taste more of the esoteric or exotic ingredients in beers like this, and this one is no exception to that. while i do for sure appreciate a fairly natural tart kiwi profile in here, i think the kiwi in this kind of thing is actually a pretty subtle flavor, and in this case, it seems like some of it might be lost to a very piquant lacto sour profile, this is pretty puckery stuff, and it cuts through the kiwi a bit for me. that said, i dont need a big sweet fruity fake tasting gose, and i like the relaxed nature of this, just different enough to stand out in an increasingly crowded field, and not so pungent that the salt and coriander are lost to it, they actually go well with the natural kiwi character this has, an seem to enhance it. the sourness is high, even for the style, and although this is designed to be a refreshing beer, a glass or two of it would be about all i could handle with the finishing acidity so high. good wheaty base though, this is anything but thin or watery, and its fluffy in the feel from it too. good carbonation and dryness at the end, an overall tropical vibe, and a well made sour beer from bells, who i have not known to do this kind of thing so well in the past! nice work here, but more kiwi would make it even better!

A refreshing take on a fruited gose. You can actually smell kiwi distinctly and the flavor is tropical fruit with a nice sour twang. One of the best goses I've had this year.

Hazy IPA look that could easily fool the hophead to be stricken with sour tartness. There is fruity kiwi aroma and can get kiwi in the flavor. Beginning was super sour but then tapered down a bit but still delicious all the way through. One of the best goses I've tasted.
