This beer draws a somewhat cloudy/hazy, medium golden color with a nice thick ring of foam lining inside the glass at the beer’s surface. Aromas of some bready malts and wheat that give way to nice hints of pineapple and habanero pepper spice goodness. The taste is of course very similar, with some bready malts and wheat that’s followed by the aforementioned pineapple and habanero. The pineapple really makes its presence known, but unfortunately for me anyways the habanero is really an afterthought here taste wise. It is barely noticeable. Being that I very much enjoy hot, spicy peppers, this very much disappoints me. Really like the use of the pineapple here though. Just a slight hop presence here that is not really noticeable unless your palate really searches for it. And that doesn’t bother me here though. Has a pretty crisp, also smooth, medium bodied mouthfeel with moderate carbonation. Has a clean finish along with a nice wheat and pineapple aftertaste.

A - Slightly hazy medium gold color, light carbonation, and a solid lacing right.

S - Wheat and jalapeno are dominant with a slight pineapple presence.

T - The wheat character from the Oberon creates a nice base for the jalepeno and pineapple to settle in on top of. Wheat up front with a little bit of heat followed with an even mix of hot pepper and pineapple. Finishes with a slight warming in the back of the throat, any pepper leftover is rinsed away with the pineapple.

M - Medium body with all the saliva on the palate coagulating making for a very wet finish.

O - An interesting take on a Bell's summer classic. Don't hate it and don't love it.

Going green with peppers and heading down a tropical path, Bell's finds the success of its mango-habanero Oberon simply too enticing to leave well enough alone. Perhaps green with envy, they try their tastebuds at a jalapeño-pineapple version next.

Jalapeño Pineapple Oberon pours with an silten yellow-gold, its resemblance to a straight pour of orange juice is once again uncanny. Above which a rich blanket of froth settles momentarily before a bright and vegetal perfume underneath billows with orange, bell pepper, pineapple, pawpaw, nectarine and a spicy herbal twinge to tickle the nose. Creamy, luscious, and sweetened with angel food cake, the beer's taste is a medley of citrus juices, tropical punch and a sweeter breadiness.

A quick follow of fruit juices slowly develop into a lemon and apple trend with under-ripened citrus gaining strength as the fruity sweetness, honey malts and residual wheat subsides. While the body and sweetness begin to slowly dissolve, the spice of jalapeño develop its peppery heat for a fresh and fleshy warmth that's unmistakably green with vegetation and piquant in its own right. Herbal and vegetal to close, the final taste is curiously of bell pepper, lime leaf and zest.

Medium bodied through a creamy carbonation, the beer feels fuller to start but trends lighter with a medley of capsaicin heat and spicy citrusy hops with a pelasant lingering simmering warmth on the after palate.

Heavy on the pineapple but almost no pepper or heat to be found.
