Crowler: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a dark brown foamy head with some retention and some lacing notes. Aroma of black chocolate notes with floral coffee notes and some nice bourbon notes with smooth vanilla notes. Taste is also a mix of black chocolate notes with some nice floral coffee notes with some nice smooth bourbon and vanilla notes. Body is about average with good carbonation with light alcohol notes that are discernible. Nice BA coffee stout.

2019 Vintage
750ml bottle poured into a snifter
A- pours a jet black color with a one finger foamy light khaki head that has good retention
S- Smells of fresh espresso, complimented by aromas of mocha, heavy cream, vanilla beans, bitter chocolate, roast, caramel and a hint of bourbon barrel
T- bitter roasted and charred malt yo front is quickly complemented by a bold barrel note, adding oak and barrel juice. Mid palate gives espresso, bitter chocolate and vanilla. The finish gives creamy milk sugars along with more espresso and oaky bourbon, which sticks around on the linger
M- medium body with moderate carbonation leads to a foamy mouthfeel that continues into the finish

Pours nearly black with ample beige foam. Smell is mostly oak barrel with some coffee. Taste is dominated by a nice oak barrel wood and vanilla, with burnt coffee over a nice base milk stout. Light and easy drinking as a milk stout should be, but not boring (as many milk stouts are). The barrel adds a nice complexity, and the coffee is a welcome addition, though slightly annoying as it is too dry and over-roasted. Overall this is a very good offering, and one of the best milk stouts I have ever had.

Perfect blend of the flavors of a milk stout, coffee and bourbon barrel.
