Driven by prominent notes of ginger and tart lime, this sessionable Fruit Fight has an almost cocktail-like character.

The last of the Flamingo Fruit Fight series I have is the session ale with ginger and lime. It's a 4% ABV that pours a hazy straw color with a white head, and ginger aroma for days. In fact, the nose is equivalent to sticking raw ginger under your nose. I understand this is likely an old can, so it's not going to be as fresh, but all I'm getting is unabashed ginger. I don't really taste the lime, nor do I get any hops or malt. As a ginger fan, this is far closer to a ginger beer, which is different. The sourness at the end doesn't really do wonders for the mouthfeel either.

12 oz can served in my St. Bernardus snifter. This poured with a bubbly, short-lived head over a hazy orange-golden colored body. Some sediment eventually settled to the bottom of the glass. The aroma features ginger and lime and clearly suggests a hard seltzer more than a sour ale. The flavor is much more beer-like, helped by mild+ hoppy bitterness and moderate sourness.

12 oz. can, canned 05/24/22. My fourth and final beer in the Bell's Flamingo series of beers; these have all been pretty dissimilar so far, so I'm not holding out much. This one a "session ale with ginger & lime".
Poured to a Piraat snifter.
Crisp golden body, typical "beer" color with a finger of frothy white head that dies out fairly quick. Appears, fresh, well carbonated, and a bit sticky. Looks pretty good.
Big tartness on the aroma, which is a nice surprise after being disappointed in several other of these offerings and their distinct lack of sour. The ginger jumps out fiercely and pairs nicely with the zesty citrus pith from the lime. Ginger has always been peppery, spicy, and a bit overpowering for me, and lime seems a bit like lime juice concentrate. There isn't a lot else going on, aside from some yeasty / doughy bacterial elements in there.
Fairly one dimensional; simple, but it hits it's marks. Sour, tart, & juicy ginger and lime juice concentrate flavors abound. Slightly spicy & peppery, with a bit of wheaty / grainy in the finish. Slight bacterial elements.
Feel is crisp, lightly tart, light and easy drinking stuff. Ginger is a bit prickly, spicy, and seems to add to the carbonation, unless it's not my imagination and this thing seems just slightly bloating.
Overall, seems fairly run of the mill to me, and ginger and lime aren't my favorite pairing, but if anyone can do it right, it's Bell's.

Pours a cloudy bright yellow straw color. Pillowy white head forms on the beer but quickly dissipates. No residual head remains. Aroma has strong notes of freshly grated ginger with underlying notes of lime and citrus. The ginger is one of those aromas that kinds of masks everything else since its so strong, so I am struggling to get much else here.
Taste is interesting - so it is not as heavy on the ginger as the nose implied, but it is still very ginger forward. The lime come through around that along with a sour
tart quality reminiscent of sucking on a lime. There are notes of wheat and pilsner malts underlying the fruit/ginger notes. In the end there is this interesting flavor profile reminiscent of a Kentucky Mule, but with the sour notes. Feel is light, crisp, refreshing. Bright, lively carbonation.
Overall I was not sure what to expect from this one, but it works and is pretty nice.
