Funny to see this one pop up after all these years. I got a 6-pack of this when I was still very new to craft beer in 2000. So this review is from memory...

A - Hazy gold, I remember if the bottle wasn't decanted carefully little flecks of something (grain hulls?) would be stirred up and in the glass

S - No memories on this one, sorry

T - I remember a very soft delicate flavor, I had a very low tolerance for hop flavor then, so if it was hopped for anything but balancing bitterness, I would assume noble-like hops were used, probably American, so Liberty or Willamette would be a good guess? Possibly something more floral, as those hops were very trendy at the time

M - On the lighter side of creamy

O - A good solid drinking beer, I remember wondering whatever happened to this one, and didn't know the story behind it at the time (read other reviews below). If it ever came back around I would probably try to grab at least one bottle just to check it out again.

Thanks to urbancaver for experiencing this one. I was far more impressed with the age and story behind this beer than the taste, not surprisingly. But hey, after 10 years...it was still beer.

Nice light golden color
Bland and sour smell
Tasted kind of like a really green homebrew...you know, the kind where you take a sip and convince yourself, "eh, its not that bad!"
Mouthfeel was ok, considering
Drank this one for the experience which was awesome because I really had no idea it even existed.

This bottle was, what? 12 years old? Couldn't really have high hopes. It was also the 31st tasting of the night, so...yeah. Here's what I wrote down:

Unfortunate
A - looks ok, coppery
S - sour and skunky. mostly sour
T - pretty dull, no real bitterness, flat malt, vanilla, mild finish
M - dull, fine, acceptable
D - it's ok, not too bad, but I feel like I'd get sick if I drank more than a few sips.

Consumed in celebration of Bell's 25 years. Thanks Cam!

A. Pours hazy gold with little head.

S. Sour vinegar.

T. Sour vinegar with a little malt.

M. Thin to medium carbonation.

D. Not too drinkable, but we finished the bottle.

Take this review with a grain of salt since it's unintentionally far past its best by date.

This beer was brewed approximately 10 years ago to commemorate Larry first batch of homegrown barley.

NOTE: This beer is far out of normal drinking range but we drank it anyway!

Appearance- A really pretty beer... golden and light

Smell- definitely a hint of sour presumably from age... other than that, not much smell to it

Taste- sour and bland... frankly, 10x better than I expected but not great. After 10 years though amazingly not a drain pour!

Mouthfeel- Light, thin, nothing special but not bad at all

Drinkabilit-: The group of us finished the bottle despite the souring. It really wasn't that horrible!
