Cold ipa brewed with Michigan hops
I really enjoyed the Cold IPA that made its appearance in the recent Hearted variety box, and had similar hopes for this one. Plus, Michigan hops!
Unfortunately, the nose and sip don’t do much for me. I get a tropical fruit base, but it’s more on the cloying side. There’s almost no bitterness, which is par for the course, but without that edge it lacks focus. I should have gone for a taster—maybe it will grow on me as it continues to open.
