DATE: September 14, 2025... OCCASION: the day after we dropped Will off at Drexel, football Sunday was definitely less without him... this one reminds me of his graduation party... GLASSWARE: Gatlinburg Brewery pint... pours a murky, golden yellow body sending small, stagnant bubbles to its frothy two-fingered clump of white head... its aroma punches with pineapple, mango, and pine… secondary notes of garden herbs, flowers, and light caramel round the profile… its draw is soft, almost passive for its ABV, and I almost wish it hit harder… that said, it does buzz around the teeth a bit, working its way to the throat with a smoothness and lightness that again is a bit surprising… its finish is grainy, lingering, and hinting at malt… mango, pineapple, lemon, and herbs make for a pleasant taste, though as part of a four-style mix pack, it pales to the OG and the Big Hearted… that said, this indeed is a welcome attempt at something different, one I would have again if the opportunity presented itself…

12 oz can from a Bell's mixed Hearts 12 pack. BB date stamped on the bottom of the can is nearly 3 weeks in the future.
Appearance. Pours with a pale straw colored body that's immediately topped by a tall white head.
The nice, mild fruity aroma is followed by a much bolder, hop-forward, mildly bitter flavor.

The ale poured a clear gold with a white foamy head, lacing, and excellent head retention. The aroma of citrus, grapefruit, and orange zest greets you. The flavors are nicely balanced with the pale hops. Mild hop bitterness in the aftertaste. Excellent IPA for everyday on the East Coast. The ale has a medium body with average carbonation

Gold pour, little haze present, "hilly" off white head with some lace around. Nose is vaguely tropical.
Taste brings pineapple, smidgen of coconut, sweet citrus, light kilned malt, maybe papaya. Light mouthfeel. Finish has a lime zest thing, not too bitter

Aroma is bready malts and very spicy/herbal/floral hops. The flavor is fruit/citrus, malts/bread/mild sweetness and a slightly tropical/spicy/very bitter hop finish.

The spirit of the name of this brew means something to me. Bell's is an older Michigan brewer that fortunately we have been able to get for a very long time and today they are everywhere.
This one pours too clear for an east coast IPA, more of an American. The lacing is nice, it's just we've come to expect excessive or even fake haze. The aroma is nice. Just a bit of skunkiness, but generally tame for the style. The taste is on the easy drinking style - no aspect of it has the boldness I wanted.
Not recommended. I don't usually buy multi 12 packs like the one with this brew - this is the reason. Regular Two Hearted may be the best of four.

12oz can of Change of Heart East Coast-style IPA dated BBD: 20Apr25. Pale golden and moderately hazed, with loads of white foam. Sadly I'm not getting much aroma right now. Flavor has a crisp bitterness but I honestly can't pick out a single citrus or tropical fruit flavor. This is making me worried my palate is broken or maybe the beer is too cold. Or maybe Bell's just can't do a hop-forward style IPA. It's not offensive, just incredibly generic and uninspiring. I'll revisit this later because so far this is seriously disappointing.
Upon revisiting, there's a bit of pine or even cedar woodiness I'm picking up here. But essentially I agree with my earlier take from a couple weeks ago.
