This is a good example of a West Coast IPA variant. It is a bit less bitter and a bit more cloudy than an OG WCIPA. The taste is quite good and the carbonation is correct for the style.

Medium gold pour, some chill haze, finger of light khaki head trailing bits of lace. Nose is light pine and citrus.
Taste brings dollop of caramel, woody, pine needles, zesty citrus, medium kilned malt. Mouthfeel is definitely medium. Finish sees a strong pine resin presentation with length. The end really ties it together.

Poured from a can into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a clear golden amber color with a puffy head of white foam. The head has a great persistence, fading slowly over time to leave a large sum of streaky lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the brew is bready and full of biscuit along with some notes of lemon and orange. Overall, the aroma is pretty light and simple.
Taste – The taste starts with a biscuit and bready malt base mixed with a bit of herbal and piney hop. As the taste advances the hop gets a bit more intense, with more pine and herb being joined by a bit of grapefruit. Throughout the taste remains rather dry, with only a very light sweetness of caramel and orange, with the mix of tastes taking the taste to its end and leaving on with a dry and crisp, moderately hopped taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body is crisp and light with a moderate to slightly higher and fuller carbonation level.
Overall – A decent west coast IPA, but nothing too out of the ordinary. Was hoping a bit more from Bell’s, but really in the end it is a rather decent brew.

Standard WCIPA stab by Bell's. The scents of pine and sweet grapefruit coming from the can are promisingly pungent. Flavors follow suit but don't raise the bar much. Orange, hints of peach, and pine hit the palate with a sweeter than expected malt presence commingling. There aren't many surprises here. Bitterness is moderate at best. Good but not great, although it is noticeable that this shares DNA with Two Hearted. Two Hearted is still better.

12oz can. Poured out a clear, golden orange color with a small, white head of foam. It left sudsy lacing. It smelled of pine, orange, grapefruit and caramel. Sweet fruity taste with lots of citrus. Nice caramel sweetness and a piney bite.

This needs to be in regular rotation! Not enough West Coasters in the East! Damn good. Got it in a mix 12 pack and it is the best of the bunch

A dark gold color. One inch white head that persisted. Some pretty lace.
Aroma of citrus and pine.
Some grapefruit in the taste, but pine resin predominates.
Persistently bitter.

Pours bright gold with a big persistent rocky head. Smell is big citrus hops. Taste has a muted malt and more assertive piney resinous hops. Nice sharp bitterness in the finish which lingers on. Smooth mouthfeel. Very drinkable. Kind of standard. But you know, NEIPA gets old. But west coast IPA (which just means the original American IPA that craft brewers have been brewing for decades) never gets old. And this is a great example.
