One of their best offerings in my opinion. It is a great hop-forward ipa with a enjoyable finish.
Off the bat it looks like my kind of beer- hazy with a great rich dark yellow color, no real head and clean lacing.
Mouthfeel leaves a bit to be desired, it's almost a little too pedestrian to be a true ipa, but honestly I think that gives it a little more character.
Overall it is a great ipa offering with some room to improve, but solid as-is.

A: Far from the prettiest beer. No head to speak of, nor a collar or lacing to boot. It's a hazy, almost (dare I say) dark pee yellow-ish.
S: Wow. Now if that doesn't make up for a disappointing appearance, I don't know what will. Big, juice-forward hops just plow through my nostrils. If I didn't know, I'd say this was an IPA. West Coast would be a good way of describing this killer bouquet.
T: More tropical hop oil. As it arrives on the mid-palate, the hop quality changes gears and bitters up, adding a pine-like quality to the profile. The finish carries the hops, and reveals it's gently toasted golden malt. As it warms, a good amount of white grapefruit lingers on the back of my tongue.
M: Sure, this could use more finesse and touch. But let's give 'em a break here - they just opened! In future batches, I'd love to see a creamier feel to this beer, more complexity and thickness. Cutting back on the oily nature of the brew would really boost how far you could push the hops.
O: An unexpected treat. Steve's Citizen Pale is one of the better APA's I've had in a while. With 55 IBU's, this bad boy is about as hop forward as you could ask for the style. Easily recommended.
