Smells like rotten vegetables. Tastes like Welch's grape juice, with the high ABV very well hidden. If it wasn't for the putrid smell, it would be ok.

Pours dark brown with a small head.
Funky aroma of cherries and woody oak.
Similar flavours, quite oaky, some acidity, a bit of booze and light red wine notes.

Pours black with a tiny head, immediately killed by carbonation, leaving absolutely nothing, not even a minimum of lace.
Smell of vinegar and sour cherry, but it's not all just tartness, there's also sweetness, with some caramel and faint candi sugar. Nice oak present, creating a red wine barrel feel with the dark fruit. Some sour mash, faint banana, faint oxidation.
A nice sweet and sour balance up front, like sour cherries rolled around in sugar. Gets more acidic with red apple cider and vinegar, with a nice orchard fruitiness underneath that sets it apart from other "simpler" sour ales, and still sweet(ish) with caramel and a sturdier "chewy" maltiness. Great oak notes towards the end, with a bit of vanilla, giving off a great red wine feel, keeping a green herbal note throughout. Not too bitter, but dry finish.
Light to medium body, chewy. Aftertaste has malt and faint sour cherries, simple, but rich. The high abv feels like a lie, nice.
This was a great sour beer, complex enough, great job with the Morpheus yeasts from Alvinne, used perfectly.
