From zombier. In Duvel glass. Playing Memoria. Eve having a great ABV, ot can be drank without too much disgust. However, Id better drink many other beers before this one. Too much alcohol taste

Served in a flute glass here at Esparte in Conil, Spain.
Appearance: Cloudy mahogany brown color with medium bubbles and off white head. Might have a bit of an orange tint to it rising to about one finger's length.
Smell: fruity scent, almost like an acai beverage with blend of grapes.
Taste: Sweet off the bat, has grape feel to it, reminds me a bit of certain Belgian Pale Ales I've had mixed with an Olde Ale. You get it, the brew its complex. Sweet, lightly bitter what else can you ask for.
Mouth: Sticky. Medium to light carbonation.
Overall: Alright at the time of this review the beer is advertised as brewed once, beer is obviously still in production and will add an update a later time. Drink up and fall in love. Salud

Aged for 15 months in wine barrels.
Pours deep dark amber, some brown hues, and it looks flat at first, but a small frothy margin appears in a short time. Lingers, and leaves lots of sticky specks on the inside of the glass.
Smells really nice, with fig and strawberry jam mixing nicely with red wine (slightly alcoholic), some sugared dark cherry, light plum, some oak, toffee and caramel, faint honey, faint brandy.
The front has lots of dark fruit, fig and dark cherry mostly, fermenting, hinting at brandy without bringing too much alcohol in the front. Some malt sweetness brings a lot of honey notes and the fruitiness mellows to a nice red wine feel, and that tastes really good. Caramel, but not overly sweet. The finish is spicy and has a say in that matter, with a lot of vanilla (the wooden barrels worked nicely), some licorice and star anise (with that minty characteristic that reminds of ouzo, but really subtle).
The aftertaste has nice lingering dark fruit, wine barrel with just a bit of alcoholic warmth (far from boozy) and a bit of spice. The sweetness is not that cloying. The body is almost entirely flat, but not too sticky or heavy.
Not too shabby, but it needs a bit more to be... not so forgettable.
