Silkeborg 20/7 2020. 50 cl bottle from Brdr. D Vinhandel, Nygade, Silkeborg. Kragelund’s usual label design with the logo that looks like the symbol from a obscure sect of Freemasons. Held in light green and red.
Pours murky amber with a very big white head. Settles as a thin, frothy layer of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer. Crawling up the sides of the glass. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is moderately intense with a sweet maltiness mingling with light citrus fruit. Sweet caramel and shoe polish. Oranges and lime.
Medium strong carbonation. Slightly thick, watery and tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a stronger bitterness. A bit harsh. Aftertaste is bitter with a sweet undercurrent. Lingers for a while. Finish is fairly dry.
Sweet and malty nose but with a redeeming bitter aftertaste. Overall decent.

March 2017: 500 ml bottle, batch No.(?) 135, from the Norwegian importer. ABV is 7.5%. Hazy orange to brown colour, small white head. Fairly strong aroma of fruity and spicy American hops. The flavour is hoppy with fruity, piney and spicy notes, on a good malty base with some caramel. Bitter finish.
