Double Tripel is a light, slightly hazy Abbey Ale inspired by the Belgian Tripel Caramel.
Double Triple gets its name because it is brewed with both malted and unmalted grains of three varieties - barley, wheat and oats.
This gives a beer with a good mouthfeel, good foam and a round, spicy taste with fruity citrus notes.

Copenhagen 8/9 2024. 50 cl bottle from Larsen Delikatesser, Bredgade, Herning. Kragelund's usual label design in light blue and dark green with Kragelunds logo in the center in gold.
Pours unclear, almost opaque golden yellow with a small white head. Stable. A bit bubbly. Settles as a thin, almost transparent layer of foam just covering the surface of the beer. Clinging to the sides of the glass. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense with a sweet, fruity, rough and fermented odor mingling with a sour grains. Fermented mango and alcohol. Sour grains. A bit metallic.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, soft, slightly viscous, gently tingling texture.
Flavor is fairly intense with a rather strong sweetness followed by a more moderate bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter and a little rough. Lingers for a while. Finish is boozy and semi-dry.
It might not be a six-fold as implied by the name - but it surely is a boozy fellow.
