Copenhagen 27/10 2019. 75 cl bottle from Aldi, Frederikssundsvej, Kbh. NV. Dark Blue label with a pale yellow bottom. A shield and a Pope hat in gold.
Pours slightly unclear, pale yellow with a very big white head. Settles as uneven, lumpy layer of foam unable to cover the surface of the beer. Substantial Lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense, fruity sweet, yeasty and with a presence of alcohol lurking in the background. Banana and Orange. Brown sugar. Humid basement.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor has a fairly strong sweetness followed by a moderate bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet and slightly sugary. Lingering.
Solid Belgian Ale which ticks off the Banana-box, the Basement-box and the Booziness-box - but a tad too sweet for my taste buds.

Golden colour with a slight haze. White foam, made up of small bubbles, forms a compact, high and long-lasting structure. In the glass it looks lovely, additionally coating its surface nicely.
In the aroma, sweet maltiness, fruitiness, flowers, Belgian yeast and spice notes. The beer is pleasant to drink and invites you to try it.
The taste is slightly sweet broken by an herbal bitterness, I would say typically Belgian. The bitterness increases in intensity with time and it rules here. The alcohol is perfectly balanced, although you can still sense that this beer has power. Medium saturation. Soft, "fluffy" texture. Body high, full. Medium-long aftertaste, initially sweet, slightly bitter, then clearly bitter with an herbal character.

hazy dark yellow, well-known hay yeast flavor and odor; slightly acidic edge bitter with sweetish waltz that lingers, all in all nice

From 75 cl bottle recently purchased (so not retired), shared with my dad. Pours a clear golden colour and an ever growing dense white head. Aroma's are fruity, esters, yeasty, where retronasal it's sweet, sweet fruit, a little sour fruit. Flavour is moderate sweet with light spices. Medium bodied. Warming alcohol. Long finish with some spices and light dry bitter. Good, if unexciting.
