There is a rumor that this might be the St. F Brune relabeled, the brewery does not put their name on this beer, preferring to call themselves 'brasserie friart.'
Pours with decent head into a chalice, nose is slightly roasted and fairly sweet. The bottle does have sediment in it.
Taste is spicy, sweet, and something like mild notes of dark fruits. There is a family resemblence to the St. F line of beers, though this is not the taste I recall from the St. F Brune. Aftertaste is subtle, dark and somewhat sweet.
Maybe worth trying if they are still making it, in any event another case of belgian beer produced anonymously by well-known breweries.
