Copenhagen 12/8 2023. 75 cl corked bottle from Meny, Rotunden, Hellerup. Black label in St. Feuillien's usual design.
Pours slightly unclear dark amber with a big off-white head. Stable. Settles as 0,2 cm thick layer of foam just covering the surface of the beer. Crawling up the sides of the glass. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense with a firm base of malty odors mingling with a bit of sweet spice and yeast but very little wood. Caramel, toffee and dark bread. Vanilla, anise and raisins. Dark alcohol.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, soft, almost flat texture.
Flavor is intense with a strong sweetness followed by a moderately strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet with a boozy undertone. Lingering. Finish is semi-dry with a touch of dark alcohol.
Nice sweet, spiced and with a healthy content of alcohol.

750 ml bottle with a champagne cork, 11% abv, Poured in a LeFort tripple glass at around 7 degrees celcius.
Pours vividly, hazey hazel coffee brown with a large cream-butter-yellow-white head, disolving at medium pace,
Lovely perfume, butter, caramel, hints of vanilla and sandelwood.
Creamy mouthfeel, full balanced round.
Roasted bread, little hint of dark chocolate, bit of caramel, but the dryness of the oak balancing it all. But the combination is interesting. Reminds me a bit of "Bison Grass".
One of the best beers I ever drunk.
Ah, on the label it says it has cocos in it as well. I missed that one. But yes, I think it is there with the oak. I think they might better leave it out, to make it even more smooth.

750 ml corked & caged bottle, as St Feuillien Oaked Quadruple, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 11%. Deep brown colour, large beige head. Aroma of malts, dark sugar, dark dried fruits and anise, a hint of sweat. Fizzy mouthfeel. Sweet flavour, malts and dark sugar again, not very spicy, low bitterness, moderate notes of oak. Not bad, but cannot compete with the best trappists.
