Wow! What a surprise this was. Had a pint at Redbones in early May 2015. Chose it because after Sixpoint Bengali, there was nothing else that caught my eye. So we asked the bartender...and what a great suggestion! This is a seriously good IPA in the unfiltered "New England style" that is so damn smooth. Seriously impressed!

Serving: On tap into a snifter
Served: 6 May 2015

Appearance: Pours a rich, somewhat cloudy golden color with a sizable one finger white head that slowly diminishes into a sheen of pure white foam crowning the beer. Nice carbonation visible in the slightly opaque beer.

Smell: Massive citra notes drown out just about everything else. A pinch of cloying malt sweetness.

Taste: Superbly drinkable. This one is almost crisp and lager-like- with bright carbonation and a medium malt backbone, the hops here really shine and piece your palate, coating it in a rich combination of grapefruit, lemon, herby cajeput, and lemongrass.

Mouthfeel: Nice carbonation and medium body. Feels full and rich without being heavy.

Overall: A marvelous IPA and one of those hidden-gem beers. Enlightenment nailed another one! Highly recommended.

Yellow golden in color. Fairly hazy in appearance. So much tangerine. Juice like. Delicious. Smooth, balanced grapefruit finish. Wow. Super solid ipa.

Cloudy dark straw color. Moderate head that leaves an initial ring of lace. Small spots thereafter.

Straight up thistle, rosemary and unsweetened grapefruit rind. Very strong aroma, particularly for a bar pour.

Round, lightly sweet malt base. Bitter, bitter hop bite in the swallow. Leaves an aftertaste that seemingly goes forever. Borderline harsh. Full body with an above average carbonation.

Had on tap at The Independent in Union Square, Somerville MA

Very clear, pale looking beer with a soft 2 finger head. The aroma on this beer is fantastic. Lots of citrus, tropical notes here as well as an almost candy like sweetness. The taste follows the smell and is nicely balanced.

I like the light body in this as well, in the vein of the new 'New England Style' IPA (Trillium, Alchemist, etc). I'd definitely put this up there with any other IPA. Looking forward to finding this beer again!
