Had on tap at the brewpub yesterday, poured into a standard pint glass a brilliant bronze color with a thinner white head, the beer had great clarity.Light aromas a mix of caramel malt and a light smattering of leafy hop.Pretty basic pale bock flavors minus the sweet alcohol punch, flavors are more crisp with a little caramel sweetness, the finish is toasty with a hint of herbal hop. This is a "small" mai bock but it goes down easy but misses in a few flavor categories.

Picked up a growler at Whole Foods in Raleigh. Pours a nice crisp copper orange with a thin diminishing head. Aroma is nice toasted caramel malts. The taste is nice crisp caramel malt with some sweet fruits and a hint of hops. The beer is nice and crisp with decent carbonation. This one is enjoyable, but there's several different better versions made here in NC, not to mention the rest of the country.

Clear chestnut with minimal head.

Smells of toasted malts.

Tastes of toasted malts, with a crisp finish. Very drinkable. A little on the basic side, but I like the style, so it was enjoyable.

Mouthfeel was a bit on the thin side, in my opinion.

Overall, a solid brew. I'd order it again.

Deep copper color, served with a thin head of fine bubbles. Aroma is clean fresh malt. Taste is a smooth toasted malt taste, with minimal hops that seem there just to give it a crisp finish and a little balance. Body was medium with a somewhat creamy mouthfeel.

Beer was good with the meal and went down easy, very drinkable.
