For that authentic bock profile, To Hell n’ Bock is crafted with lots of Munich malt. This grain has a toasty, bread -like aroma that imparts a delicious malty flavor to complement the fresh German hops.

On tap at the Brewpub.Poured a deep mahogany with a fluffy beige colored head atop, brown sugar and deeply roasted nuts in the nose, light alcohol sweetness as the beer warmed.Sweet molasses and caramel at the onset with a faint whiskey tinge on the palate.A nice warming doppelbock.Sweet but not overly so.

On draft at Village Draft House, served a nice dark brown with a thin tan head that diminshed to nothing. The aroma was some burnt caramel. The taste was a good malty caramel with some molasses and dried fruits. The beer was medium bodied with low carbonation and a warming alcohol presence. This is a decent doppelbock, but there's better American made ones out there.

Enjoyed on tap at the brewpub. Poured a clear brownish color. Not pale but more of a mahogany wood finish. White head that dissolved completely. Heavy on the malts with a peat quality to the finish. Medium body that thickens as the beer warms. Some bits of candy and other things going on as well but not enough in my opinion. Definitely worth a shot.

Appearance: Pours a clear dark red/garnet body with no head or lacing but a persistent collar
Smell: Dark fruits and caramel on the nose
Taste: Fruity rich flavor dominated by the malts with some bittersweet chocolate on the finish
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with modest carbonation
Drinkability: The subdued fruitiness of this beer is a wonderful reminder of spring; refreshingly tasty
