L- Mid-gold, bottle-conditioned so poured carefully. Very slight haze, with 2mm white head, holds well.
S- Fruit cocktail, pungent too. I suspect this might mean it has OTT hopping.
T- Mango, citrus, lychee, then reminiscent of a blended multi-fruit juice drink. Bitter/sour building to notably sour, and building again to even more so, leaving a sour/dry sensation on the tongue and back of the throat. There isn't anything beer-like in the taste that I can detect; that said it's not so OTT on the hops that it's undrinkable. ps. Towards the end of the bottle as it warms a touch, peach begins to open up in the mix.
F- Dry, bitter, sour. Decent carbonation in the mouth.
O- Might work better in summer as a refresher, but this is squarely aimed at a younger generation.

Unpasteurised/Bottle-conditioned. 330ml bottle BB: 15/1/2020 #679. Ingredients of note: Barley, wheat and oats, Moteka and Mosaic hops. Bought in the UK from Beerhawk.

Gold, clear until i pour in the dregs. decent head.

Wonderful fruityness from the nose, citrusy and pine. Smells "pillowy" if you get me. very soft, but intense at the same time.

Taste is similar again, you get ample sweetness but not too much, a fair wack of grapefruity bitterness to counter it. Bitterness does not hang on long in the finish, its remarkably short lived. bit of spritz and a touch of mineral.

Body is full but not too much, soft carb.

Excellent beer, and from Aldi at less than £2 a bottle. What a time to be alive.

A 330ml bottle with a BB of Dec 2018. Picked up a little while back from Trembling Madness in York. Inspired by Huxley's Brave New World; the label describes this as a fruity IPA hopped with Motueka, Mosaic and Centennial.

A: Poured into an IPA glass. Bottle conditioned. A rich, hazy amber hue with plentiful floating sediment and good carbonation. Produces a large head of creamy white foam that lasts for a minute or two before subsiding to a patchy surface layer. Slight lacing.

S: Aroma of intensely fruity hops with hints of citrus peel, zest, pine resin, weed, tropical fruit, leafiness, caramel malt and ale yeast. Excellent.

T: Tastes of seriously aromatic hops with notes of pine resin, dank weed, grapefruit, citrus peel, zest, tropical fruit, leafiness, caramel malt, ale yeast and faint earthiness. Slightly sweet, followed by a strident hop-driven bitterness upon swallowing.

M: Mouthfeel is smooth and tingly, with spritzy carbonation and good body. Mildly astringent; hop oils stimulate the palate. Aftertaste of bitter aromatic hops, pine, weed, citrus, tropical fruit, caramel malt and ale yeast.

O: Nice; a hop-laden IPA with good balance. Looks alright, while the aroma and flavour are stuffed with aromatic hops, caramel malt and ale yeast. Lovely body. Fruity and intense - goes down a treat. Worthy of being the real Soma; well worth sampling.
