Pours a viscous very brown body without any head

Dark fruits and nuts notes in the smell. Some maple, some bourbon

The taste follows the smell and stays just on the edge of balance. Some acidity and noted. Complex taste. Cocoa powder and toffee

Thick mouthfeel, moderate to low carbonation

Very nice beer but the maple is less present than in the non BA version

Bottle @ BCBF2018 - Pours dark brown with a thin ring of tanned foam, oily on glass. Aroma - Strong hints of maple, boozy alcohol. Taste - Sweet, maple forefront, chocolate notes, woody overtones from the barrel, bourbon boozy notes, caramel, dark fruit notes, medium bitter finish with some nice alcoholic warmth. A lovely sipper. Best beer at the festival for me and that is a high bar.
