Its bright straw appearance promptly displays steadily streaming carbonation as a short frothy head forms. Fresh baking bread, soft dough and light confection sweetness swirl past the nose and give the early taste a soft and creamy dryness.
Herbal hops are floral and with almost fruity aromatics. Apple, lemon and honeysuckle offer a whimsical upstart while the middle palate is soft, bready and grainy. With the retreat of sweetness, the floral hops develop into a peppery bitterness to balance the taste. Characterful lemongrass, dry hay and a sulfury taste of apple allow for supple charm.
Crisp, clean and highly refreshing, the medium-light body dries the palate wonderfully with a linger of grain, sulfur, mineral and a moderate hoppy bitterness. Minty alcohol warmth suggests that the pilsner is of slightly more gravity than is usual.
