Savory, strong and to the point, the stronger Scottish ale that pours from the West Sixth brewery suits the wintry palate just fine.

Thistle Suit You comes with a rich honey amber pour. Hazy with a calm translucence, the beer's scant froth allows a somber scent of caramel, peat toffee and dark fruit to permeate the nose before a lavishly sweet taste greets the tongue with all things toffee, caramel, sorghum, jam and syrups.

Sweet and earthen, the ale lays tracks of fresh tobacco, fig, date and plum across the middle palate. Its rich taste is woven with slight nuances of plum, blackberry, red grape and fig-like esters. Peppery, sightly soilish and with the faint character of cigar, the honey dipped finish of the ale lingers with a modest bitterness that trends nutty, woodsy and with a peppercorn spice.

Full in body, the ale pays a bold tribute to true Scotish wee heavy, but lacks the boldness in earth and robust flavor while also contributing a lacing dryness and overly spicy booze Still, the ale simmers on the palate that, given a year or two" would rival the dog for attention during the game or boo.
