Another beer from Paul’s beer of the month gift. A pretty red ale with a spunky but short-lived head. To my nose there’s not much beyond a touch of maltiness. Nicely balanced on the palate- a decent effort overall.

I received three of these in a package from a beer club that I got as a gift. A fairly decent, mild Red/Amber Ale. Poured from a 12 oz. can into a pint glass, this beer featured a clear, amber color, a medium sized antique white head and some lacing on the glass. Aroma was pretty mild, a little bready and caramel malt. Taste was stronger, still featured bready and caramel malt but the sweetness of the caramel malt and a little nuttiness are noticeable too. Mouthfeel is light, with a touch of fruity hops bitterness. Avery easy drinker!!!

05/17/23.
Appearance: Pours a light amber-hued body capped by an ivory-colored head. Modest lacing.
Smell: A toasted bready quality with a light glaze of sweetish caramel aided by fairly mild notes of citrus, dried herb, nut shells and spice.
Taste: Houses a toasty, nutty maltiness with slight, sweetish caramel bent, though it almost instantly dries out. Lightly bitter herbals (black tea), lightly fruity with a little spicy graininess lingering in the aftertaste.
Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Medium carbonation.
Overall: An acceptable, light-leaning amber ale.
