I got a can of this beer from my good friend and old neighbor from the 'Wego. It poured a hazy copper with white head that is leaving some lace. The scent had apricot and stone fruit notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with slightly bitter pineapple and unripe apricot presence. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a great beer.

Great/superb/excellent love the throat grabbing bite with aftertaste. One of if not the BEST IPA sold by a Lexington brewer. Try it and if you don't like it your taste buds are off :)

The hazy trends have left a lot of hopheads in the cereal-laden, sweeter, fruitier dark. But West Sixth interrupts your regularly scheduled beer session for this important message: Sabro, El Dorado and Motueka hops can make bitter beer too.

Reasonably hazy and caught in a deep golden hue, the latest installment of Hop Static, Channel 4 carries a slight off-white froth across the nose. A spicy hop regimen frames bold impressions of citrus, tropical fruit and fresh spruce ahead of a light granola sweetness that offers a somber malt support first and foremost on the tongue.

But a swift turn to hops easily thwarts any malt flavor to the side. A sharper taste of pink grapefruit and orange leap right out with a quick followup of pineapple for a bright, radiant and full fruitiness. As hints of mango, apricot, papaya and passionfruit can be found in the recesses of taste, the beer quickly moves to a spicy bitterness that registers strongly on the late palate with a gullet gripping sensation of pine resins, fresh grassiness and citrus pith.

Medium full for IPA, Channel 4 has a few of the juicier elements of advanced hops but in the body of a dry, crisp and highly refreshing hop bite. Finishing with a botanical taste that lingers deep with bitterness, this session is simply beer nostalgia for fans of bitter beer. We now return you to your regularly scheduled beer.
